There’s several ways to get involved at HCAM, here’s just a few!

PROMOTE Your Upcoming Event
If you’ve got an event coming up that you would like to promote, HCAM can help you get the word out.  From the creation of a short promotional video, to a notice on our electronic Community Bulletin Board, which airs between programming on our channels, getting the word out couldn’t be easier.  For more information on creating a promotional video, give us a call and we’ll point you in the right direction.  If you head over to our Community Bulletin Board page you can learn more about how to create your own custom slide by using our EZ-slide-creator tool.  If you know PowerPoint, it’s a breeze!  Did we mention it’s free!?!

CAPTURE Your Event or Program
Whether you’ve got an idea or an already completed program ready for air, we want to help you bring it to the Hingham Community.  You can submit a Program Broadcast Application or Contact us to set up an appointment for personalized training on how to capture an event on our equipment or yours.

CREATE a (Single Airing or Series) Program
If you have an idea for a program or series, we can help you to make it happen.  Head over to our Create a Program page or Contact us for more information. We’re happy to help you get organized and bring your ideas to life!

Become an HCAM Member
If this all sounds neat but you have no idea yet what you want to do with it, consider becoming a HCAM member.  You can put your name on our “Crew Call List” and help out with other productions while coming up with ideas of your own.  There are a number of other benefits to HCAM membership. More information on this is on our HCAM Membership information page.

HCAM Training
HCAM members are able to sign up for any or all of the production training courses that we run here at HCAM.  Classes are scheduled regularly and are available in the following areas: Basic Field Production & Shot Composition, Basic Studio/Control Room Production, Basic Digital Editing with Final Cut Pro X, and Getting Started in Television Production.  More advanced classes are offered as well and will be taught on demand.

HCAM Internship Program
If you’re looking to get more involved, you can consider an HCAM Internship.  We have a number of programs designed to fit your particular availability and goals.  Students enrolled in this program will work along side HCAM employees and Hingham community members to get involved in community events or create their own show. Interns will leave HCAM having a good understanding of community media and a solid foundation in television production & operation.
